Modern Florida living has been on the rise in recent years and what better way to express that than with a grand, picturesque. 

coastal compound. This home is my favorite project to date. It might be my dream home. Everything about it screams modern Florida living.

Upon entry, there are two things you notice right away, the towering size of this home is one of its greatest features. Two stories and a pilot lookout for additional natural light, atop a solid raised foundation place the height at about 42 feet tall. It is a true statement piece in any neighborhood. Designed to protect against flooding, storm surge, and hurricane force winds while maintaining a modern, yet "home-like" feel.  The second feature here is the simplicity and clean lines. Every space was thoughtfully designed with a minimalist mindset. Open rooms, with large continuous features like the large-paneled coffered ceilings in the living room or the 13 ft island in the kitchen.

Now, let's talk natural light. Every corner of this home was designed to accept as much natural light as possible. Beginning with the front entry. Adorned with as much glass as we could possibly think of, the oversized windows on either side of the front door add symmetry to the entry and set the stage for a common design theme seen throughout the home. And it goes without saying that the massive picture frame window above the front door allows in all of that Easternly morning light that helps us wake up and feel good about our day. Lastly, on both first and second floors, an array of 8 ft storm proof sliding glass doors provide a picturesque view of the waterway to the West.

I wanted this home to be more than a place for rest and relaxation. I also wanted it to be a bit of a destination spot for friends and family to enjoy. This was achieved through the addition of a cinema, fitness room, book nook, resort inspired pool with spacious cabana, 8 person hot tub, and over 100 feet of large vessel dockage. Along with the 2nd floor balcony, accessible from all sides. there is plenty of space to enjoy the weather outside and the air conditioning within.
